1. Your first scan

Enter your site's URL on the Scan tab and start. Prakam fetches each page, strips navigation and footers, and scores how related every pair of pages is. A 50-page site takes a few minutes.

When it finishes you get a link plan: how many links were found, how many pages have no inbound links, and how many links were skipped.

2. Adding an AI key

Settings → Keys. You need at least one. Free options that need no card:

ProviderUsed forWhere to get it
GeminiRelatedness (embeddings)aistudio.google.com
GroqKeywords and rewrites — fastestconsole.groq.com
CloudflareBoth. Needs account ID tooWorkers AI dashboard

Without any key, relatedness falls back to a local calculation and anchor text cannot be generated, so the plan comes back empty. Add at least one.

3. Reading a suggestion

Each suggestion has a mode:

Approve with A, reject with R. Links per page are capped against word count at roughly two to five per thousand words, so a short post never ends up carrying nine internal links.

If a target page has no generated keyword, the link is skipped rather than anchored to a URL slug. The scan summary counts those.

4. Connecting your site

Four ways to publish approved links:

Connections page → add site → pick your stack → copy the snippet → paste it → Verify. The endpoint is stored per connection, so it keeps working even if the generated path changes later.

5. Link health

Published links are re-checked on a schedule. Three things get flagged:

You can retarget a moved URL or unwrap a dead link in place. Health checks need no connector — they work on any platform.

6. Troubleshooting

The plan is empty

Almost always a missing AI key. Anchor text comes only from generated keywords; with no key there are no keywords and so no links.

The scan says it was interrupted

The server restarted while it was running. The message tells you what percentage it reached. Start it again — cached embeddings mean the second run is faster.

A scan stops partway with a rate-limit error

Your provider's free tier hit its cap. Add a second provider key; Prakam falls through to the next one automatically.

Publishing fails with a token error

The token in your site's snippet no longer matches. Regenerate the snippet from the Connections page and re-paste it.

FAQ

Common problems

My scan finished but the link plan is empty. Why?

Almost always a missing AI key. Anchor text comes only from generated keywords, so with no key there are no keywords and therefore no links. Add a Groq or Gemini key in Settings — both are free and need no card.

The scan says it was interrupted. What happened?

The server restarted while the scan was running. The message tells you what percentage it reached. Start it again; cached embeddings make the second run faster.

Publishing fails with a token error.

The token in your site's connector snippet no longer matches the one Prakam holds. Regenerate the snippet from the Connections page and paste it again.

Can I use Prakam on a site I do not own?

No. Scan only sites you own or have explicit permission to work on. The crawl runs on your instruction, as your agent, and you are responsible for having the right to make it.
